Attinder is a productivity and attendance-tracking web application developed and maintained by Rao Information Technology Pvt Ltd (“we,” “us,” “our”).
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use Attinder or sign in with your Google Account.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

  • Your name, email address, and (optional) organization details when you sign up or contact support.
  • App preferences or settings stored locally in your browser (such as connected Sheet IDs, selected calendar views, and app name).

2.2 Information from Google (OAuth 2.0 Login and API Use)

When you choose to sign in or connect to Google Sheets/Drive, Attinder uses Google OAuth 2.0 solely to request your explicit permission to access your own Google data.

We access only the following, depending on the feature you use:

  • Basic profile information (name, email address, profile photo) for login and personalization.
  • Your authorized Google Sheets and Drive files for reading/writing attendance and class data.

We do not:

  • Access your Gmail, Calendar, or other Google services.
  • Store OAuth tokens or Google data on our servers.
  • Share or sell any data to third parties.

All tokens and user data stay within your browser’s localStorage and are used only while you are logged in. You can revoke access any time from your Google Account → Security → Third-party apps with account access.

3. How We Use the Information

We use your information to:

  • Authenticate and maintain your session.
  • Display your name and email inside the app interface.
  • Read/write to your Google Sheets for attendance and class management as you instruct.
  • Improve user experience and provide support.

We do not use your data for advertising, tracking, or analytics beyond anonymous usage metrics (e.g., Google Tag Manager).

4. Data Storage and Security

  • Attinder is a purely client-side web app built with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
  • We do not maintain a central database of user data. Your information remains within your own Google account and browser.
  • Any local data (e.g., preferences or tokens) is stored securely in the browser’s localStorage and can be cleared by you at any time.

5. Third-Party Services

Attinder integrates with the following trusted third-party services:

  • Google APIs (Google Identity Services, Sheets API, Drive API, Picker API)
  • Google Apps Script (for optional email/reporting automation)

6. User Control and Consent

You always have control over your data. You may:

  • Disconnect your Google Account from Attinder at any time.
  • Revoke permissions from your Google Account settings.
  • Delete local app data by clearing browser storage or cache.

Attinder is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
